A rich cultural programme was organised for foreign guests at the Rukh Ordo cultural complex as part of the VI World Nomad Games.
Guests from different countries and continents were able to discover the rich culture, traditions and daily life of the Kyrgyz people. Performances by creative ensembles presenting traditional songs and dances created a particular atmosphere.
One of the highlights of the programme were the musical improvisations that brought together musicians from different countries. Here music became a true language of friendship — without borders and without interpreters.
Alexander Penezzi, 30, came to Kyrgyzstan from Brazil. He has played the guitar since childhood and loves improvising and performing melodies of different peoples most of all. What gives him particular pleasure, he says, is the chance to discover the music of different cultures and find something shared in it.
At Rukh Ordo Alexander has already played duets with Kyrgyz and Turkish musicians, and today he joined a musical improvisation with a colleague from the United States. Every such performance is unique, born right here and now.
This is Alexander's first time in Kyrgyzstan, yet in a short time he has come to love the beauty of its nature and taken an interest in Kyrgyz culture. For him, taking part in the Nomad Games has been not only a chance to perform but a particular cultural experience — meeting new people, traditions and music that brings very different people together.
