Games

Cholpon-Ata, Kyrgyzstan · 9–14 September 2014
The Games that did not exist. The first World Nomad Games brought nineteen countries to the shore of Issyk-Kul — and proved that traditional sport can live in an international format.

Cholpon-Ata, Kyrgyzstan · 3–8 September 2016
Twice as much world. In two years the number of countries doubled and the number of sports more than doubled. The Games stopped being a regional festival.

Cholpon-Ata, Kyrgyzstan · 2–8 September 2018
The peak of the Kyrgyz cycle. The third Games were the largest held in Kyrgyzstan: 66 countries and 37 sports.

İznik, Türkiye · 29 September — 2 October 2022
The first away Games. For the first time the Games were held outside Kyrgyzstan, in İznik, Türkiye. One hundred and two countries — a record for geography.

Astana, Kazakhstan · 8–13 September 2024
The Games in a big city. The fifth Games were held in Astana — for the first time in a metropolis, on stadium venues.
Bishkek and Cholpon-Ata, Kyrgyzstan · 31 August — 6 September 2026
Coming home. The sixth Games returned to Kyrgyzstan with the largest programme ever: forty-three sports across two venues.
