102 countries
The largest number of delegations in the history of the Games.

For the first time the Games were held outside Kyrgyzstan, in İznik, Türkiye. One hundred and two countries — a record for geography.

Handing the Games to another country was a stress test: would the format survive the move, would it still be itself without Issyk-Kul and Kyrchyn? Türkiye hosted them on Lake İznik.
The programme was cut to thirteen sports — a deliberate choice: fewer events, but with full fields of competitors. In exchange the geography set a record: 102 countries.
The fourth Games proved the main point: the platform is not tied to a place. The landscape changes; the sports, the rules and the meaning remain.
The Games turned out not to be about the place. They are about what people bring with them.

The largest number of delegations in the history of the Games.
Thirteen sports with full draws instead of a long list.
Lake İznik instead of Issyk-Kul — the format survived the move.
