Following the V World Nomad Games, the Republic of Kazakhstan passed the baton to the Kyrgyz Republic. The VI World Nomad Games will be held in Kyrgyzstan in September 2026.
The Games are organized by the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic. An Organizing Committee has been established to prepare and stage the Games, while the functions of the Secretariat have been entrusted to the public association "International Secretariat of the World Nomad Games".
The main document governing the participation of country delegations is the Regulations of the VI WNG. It sets out the conditions of participation and is sent to participating countries through the official diplomatic channels of the Kyrgyz Republic, serving as the official invitation to take part.
The WNG programme is traditionally built around three areas.
The sports programme brings together ethnosport disciplines, traditional games and competitions of the peoples of the world. Detailed rules and competition formats are published on the official resources of the Games.
The cultural programme includes large-scale festival formats and the ethno-village — the key venue where the country's regions present living culture: crafts, music, dance, traditions, rituals and national cuisine.
The scientific programme provides for an international scientific and practical conference held during the Games and is aimed at fostering professional dialogue on cultural heritage, traditional practices and the role of ethnosport in the modern world.
