The Author of the World Nomad Games Project Transfers the Rights to the WNG to the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic

On December 9, 2025, Askhat Akibaev, the author and initiator of the World Nomad Games project, officially transferred the intellectual rights to the project to the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic.

History of the Project

The idea of the World Nomad Games was developed by Askhat Akibaev in 2008 and registered with the Patent Service of the Kyrgyz Republic in 2011, after which it was recognized as his intellectual property. For many years, the author played a key methodological, organizational, and conceptual role in the preparation and holding of the I, II, and III WNG, and also supported the work of the Secretariat.

Purposes of the Decision

The transfer of the intellectual rights is aimed at:

• strengthening the leading role of the state in the management and development of the project;
• ensuring the institutional sustainability and long-term development of the WNG;
• strengthening Kyrgyzstan's position in the international arena and expanding global recognition of the project;
• preserving the WNG at the state level and passing the project on to future generations as part of the cultural heritage.

Statement by the Author

In transferring the rights, Askhat Akibaev expressed confidence that the World Nomad Games will continue to develop as a national brand of the Kyrgyz Republic and a unique international platform presenting the heritage of nomadic civilization to the world.
