For ten years he has been making various wood and leather goods: souvenirs, horse saddles and household items. Kanatbek Isakov says the craft was passed down to him by his father.
Over time the craft became not only his favourite occupation but a source of income. Today he continues to develop his skill with great pleasure, preserving the traditions of national craft and passing them on.
Kanatbek Isakov presented his work to guests of the VI World Nomad Games as well.
Taking part in such a large international event, he says, gives him a chance to introduce guests from different countries to the culture, history and traditions of the Kyrgyz people through objects made with his own hands.
